If you are fan of command line like me and agree that in many situations it’s better/easier to use terminal than graphical interface, you should try terminal plugin for nautilus file manager. This smart plugin makes it possible to open popup terminal in any directory you opened in nautilus and use it for file manipulations or anything you want. If you still don’t have it installed you definitely should.

Currently Firefox 4.0b2 is the latest beta version of long awaited browser that is going beat Opera, Google Chrome as well as previous versions of Firefox in safety, speed and performance. There is a bunch of improvements which are already available for testing in Firefox 4 Beta 2 on Ubuntu: tabs on the top, crash protection, full webgl support, html5 video native support and many-many more. Now it is possible to install Firefox 4.0 Beta 2 in Ubuntu using PPA repository.
Instantbird 0.2: Mozilla Powered IM Client for your Ubuntu

Instantbird is one more multi-platform instant messenger for your Ubuntu but powered and supported by Mozilla. This IM client is based on Firefox and Pidgin code so it makes it possible to chat using multiple protocols including MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber, GTalk and others, open Firefox-like tabs while chatting with friends and install various extensions. After three years (!!!) of development Instantbird is now available as latest 0.2 version. See below how to install it in Ubuntu.

There are a lot of possible reasons why Ubuntu user may want to find out Ubuntu version installed on his or her computer. And this is not due to short-term memory or something. Many Ubuntu newbies just feel lost in all those Ubuntu codenames e.g. Lucid Lynx or Maverick Meerkat and version numbers like 10.04 LTS, 10.10 etc. There are several ways to find out what Ubuntu version is installed on a computer/laptop. Ubuntu Ramdisk: An Easy Way

Ramdisk or ramdrive is part of system memory that applications/user can use just line normal disk space — e.g. to create folders and files in it and manipulate them with dramatically better performance rather if they were stored on the hard drive.
